‘Creative Feast’ with Chef Liz Barbour
The Lane Memorial Library will be hosting a “Creative Feast” lecture and demonstration at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17. Chef Liz Barbour will show how easy it is to prepare healthy meals in only 15 minutes!
We all want to eat well but our busy schedules often keep us from taking the time to cook healthy meals. Understanding what ingredients to have in your refrigerator, pantry, and freezer is key to whipping up a fast, healthy, and delicious meal. Enjoy a cooking demonstration in the Lane Room of two recipes and samples for all to taste. Limit of 35 participants for the cooking session, registration by Saturday, July 13. Bryson Lang, juggler and comedian
A unique blend of juggling and comedy will be offered on Friday, July 19 at 10 a.m. at the Centre School Gym, 53 Winnacunnet Road, Hampton.
Bryson Lang has entertained thousands around the world with his creative act. Lang’s show combines technical juggling skills with original comedy, resulting in a unique and unforgettable act. His audience will see a captivating routine that mixes audience participation, comedy, ball bouncing and spinning, giant beach balls and always a few surprises.
Needle-felting for Teens
Teens are invited to sculpt an out-of-this-world visitor from wool. On Friday, July 19 from 2-3 p.m. in the Study Room, make a Needle-Felted Alien.
What lives on the dark side of the moon? Using only a felting needle and colored wool teens will sculpt creatures and objects from our galaxy and beyond. No experience necessary; all materials supplied.
Speaking for Wildlife: Birds, bats & butterflies
On July 16, 1 p.m. join the library for a slide presentation in the Lane Room highlighting a dozen wildlife species commonly seen in New Hampshire. Participants will learn cool animal facts and find out how the diverse mix of habitats in our region support species such as American woodcock, painted turtle, pileated woodpecker, wood frogs, little brown bats and other captivating creatures.
The Speaking for Wildlife Project is a volunteer effort of UNH Cooperative Extension, the NH Coverts Project and NH Fish & Game, with funding provided by the Wellborn Ecology Fund of the N.H. Charitable Foundation.
Children’s Storytimes and movies
Children’s Storytimes start June 18th and run until August 1. Check the library’s website for dates and times. A family movie will be shown at 2 p.m. on July 19. Please see library website for complete details.

Get tickets for the Red Sox ticket raffle! Raffle tickets are available at the Circulation Desk. Win two tickets to the Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees game, Loge Box Seat - First Base on Saturday, Sept. 7. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 / $5 or 25 / $20. Winning ticket will be drawn Aug. 20. Tickets donated by Olivia’s Organics. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Lane Memorial Library.
