What is the most patriotic thing you do on July 4th?

The mission of the Strawbery Banke Museum is to interpret the history of one of our country’s oldest, continuously occupied neighborhoods. Visitors learn the story of Portsmouth and the story of our country. Through touring the museum's grounds and houses, visitors step into the past and into the lives of everyday people from the late 1600's to the mid-1900s. Strawberry Banke provides the unique opportunity to explore lifestyles, traditions, beliefs, politics, and economics over the course of four centuries. Currently, Strawbery Banke is seeking volunteers to help at their annual “An American Celebration” to salute American Independence and the joy of summer. Multiple generations make this a Fourth of July tradition, given the opportunity to enjoy the living history museum at a time that American history takes a special spotlight. They need help to pull off lovely events like: US Naturalization Ceremony at 11 a.m., VIP Luncheon 12 p.m., and the Old Fashion Field day from 10a.m. to 2 p.m. If you would to be a part of the fun with this fun event, please visit Volunteer HQ for more information.
