YORK — Lighthouse restoration specialist JB Leslie Company of South Berwick has been approved to undertake the third phase of work at the Cape Neddick Light Station this summer.

JB Leslie has already undertaken major rehabilitation work during the past two years, including restoring both the keeper’s cottage as well as the lighthouse itself, better known as Nubble Light.

In May, voters approved $82,000 for the third phase, which includes roof repairs to the cottage, generator building and workshop; structural repairs to the workshop; and removal and replacement of the existing fencing. Work for all three phases comes from Sohier Park Gift Shop revenue.
