Market Street Trust Co. appoints Pass as president, CEO
PORTSMOUTH — Market Street Trust Company, a client-owned, shared family office providing comprehensive wealth management services, announced Kara Garner Pass was appointed president and CEO effective April 1.
Pass will work closely with the board of directors and senior leadership team to develop and shape Market Street Trust’s long-term client-focused strategic plan, as well as oversee all of its integrated wealth management services.
Pass comes to Market Street from Ithaca, New York-based Tompkins Financial Corporation, a publicly traded financial holding company, where she was managing director and senior vice president of Tompkins Financial Advisors, the company’s wealth management arm. In addition, Pass served as the client experience team leader for Tompkins Financial Advisors and the Innovation Team Leader for the holding company, where she was responsible for leading a cross functional team focused on identifying and implementing process and technology solutions to improve efficiency and performance.
Before Tompkins, Pass was Business Banking team leader at M&T Bank in Ithaca, where she drove considerable growth as one of the top performing relationship managers at the bank.
Pass succeeds Marianne W. Young, who retired in January after 23 years at Market Street Trust, 20 of them as president and CEO.

DOVER — Leone, McDonnell & Roberts, Professional Association, a leading CPA firm with offices throughout New Hampshire, announced the promotion of Joseph “Joe” Quinn, Jr., CPA, to principal.
A certified public accountant in New Hampshire and New York, Quinn has nearly 30 years of experience in public accounting, with nearly 14 of those with LMR, joining the firm in 2005.
Quinn works out of the firm’s Stratham office where he is responsible for managing client relationships and staff. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Quinn, of Exeter, specializes in financial planning, investments, retirement plans and insurance, as well as tax return preparation and planning for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and estates, gift taxes, nonprofits and retirement plans.
Raised on Long Island, New York, Quinn attended the University at Buffalo - State University of New York graduating with a bachelor of science in accounting and finance.
