The Pet of the Week for the New Hampshire SPCA is Asher.

Asher is a German Shorthaired Pointer that was rescued from a bad situation. He was painfully thin, but through a careful nutrition schedule he has gained healthy weight.

Despite his experience, Asher oozes love. He can be a little shy at first, but warms up quickly and really enjoys spending time with people. Asher has lived with other dogs, but has no history of living with cats or kids.

This sweet boy is ready to feel what it's like to be treated like a real pet in a home. He will need a patient family, willing to commit to his training and making sure he gets plenty of exercise and love. Like all of the animals available for adoption at the New Hampshire SPCA, Asher is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. His adoption fee includes three complimentary sessions with our expert trainers. Visit for information and directions to the shelter.
