March 14 — To the Editor:
I see that former U.S. Senator Judd Gregg, directly contradicting the position that he publicly took nine months ago, now says that the City’s current plan for the McIntyre Building is a great idea. (Compare “Gregg offers support for McIntyre plan,” Portsmouth Herald, March 13, 2019, p. A1, with “Gregg frustrated by McIntyre project,” Portsmouth Herald, June 29, 2018, p. A1.)
I wonder if Sen. Gregg is going to have to drive an extra four miles every day, through a dozen traffic lights, in order to collect his mail, as will some 1,300 displaced post office box holders as well as anyone who wants to mail a certified letter?
