Concert on the Lot tickets on sale
Just a reminder that tickets for the first Concert on the Lot to be held outside at the Worth Lot in Portsmouth will go on sale to the public on Saturday, March 16 at noon. Headlining the show will be the Grammy Award-winning Rebirth Brass Band. Sweet Crude and longtime Seacoast favorite Jumbo Circus Peanuts will also perform during the concert, which will take place on Sunday, June 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets to the concert are $12 for general admission. VIP Seating tickets are available for $25. Tickets have been on sale for two weeks to members of The Music Hall, but members of the general public can purchase them at www.themusichall.org, by phone at (603) 436-2400 or at the theater’s box office at 28 Chestnut St. begining tomorrow.
Youth Art Month at the Woodman
The Thom Hindle Gallery will host an unveiling of artwork by Dover Middle School students as a part of Youth Art Month on Friday, March 15 from 5 to 7 p.m.. This year's theme is "Your Art, Your Story." The event is free and open to the public on the camps of the Woodman Museum, 15, Summer St., Dover. The show continues and is open from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, Sunday, March 17, Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24. Warm up with Cold Chocolate
Cold Chocolate is a genre-bending Americana band that fuses folk, funk, and bluegrass to create unique a sound all their own. Featuring Ethan Robbins on guitar, Ariel Bernstein on percussion, and backed by some of the root's music scene's finest players, this group is impressing audiences throughout New England and beyond. The band will play at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 16 at The Dance Hall, 7 Walker St., Kittery. Tickets are $12 in advance; $15 at the door; and are available at www.thedancehallkittery.org.
Comedy for St. Patrick's Day weekend
The Saint Paddy's Day Comedy Spectacular will take place on Saturday, March 16 at The Music Hall in Portsmouth. The annual comedy night will benefit Veterans Count and feature Comedian Jim McCue, who is becoming a Saint Patrick’s tradition in Portsmouth. McCue, who will headline the show, has been featured on "Comedy Central," "Comcast Comedy Spotlight," NBC’s “Last Comic Standing" Live. He's also done USO shows around the world. He will be joined by Joey Carroll, Kristin O’Brien and Will Smalley. Dancers from The Murray Academy of Irish Dance in Exeter and McDonough-Grimes Irish Dance in Dover will also perform. The show begins at 8 p.m. at the theater at 28 Chestnut St. in Portsmouth. Tickets range from $32 to $37, and are available online at www.themusichall.org or by calling (603) 436-2400.
Juston McKinney at Opera House March 15
Comedian Juston McKinney will perform at the Rochester Opera House on Friday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $29 and are available at www.rochesteroperahouse.com. The Rochester Opera House is located at 31 Wakefield St., Rochester.
Ballroom Thieves at 3S
The Ballroom Thieves will perform with special guest Julie Rhodes on Friday, March 15 at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. This show is suited for all ages and is a standing show. Tickets are $15 for members, $18 in advance and $20 on the day of the show, and are available at www.3sarts.org.
