Dover, NH Ė Langdon Place of Dover, a Genesis HealthCare Community providing Residential, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Rehabilitation Services, will host a free seminar conducted by Wentworth-Douglass Hospital on how to prevent and treat strokes on Thursday, March 28 at 1 p.m. at Langdon Place of Dover, 60 Middle Road, Dover. The seminar is open to the public.

The seminar will focus on the symptoms of strokes; who is at risk; how to prevent strokes; what is the best treatment for a stroke; new medical advances in stroke care; when is surgery necessary; what to expect for rehabilitation for a stroke patient; and as a Primary Stroke Center, what Wentworth-Douglass Hospital offers for acute stroke care in the Seacoast. Also, the seminar will include information on the Neurological Rehabilitation Day Program at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.

The seminar will be conducted by Cathy Danforth, MS, RN-BC, CNL. Cathy is the Clinical Nurse Leader for the Stroke program at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
