CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation has provided nearly $3.9 million through its Community Grants Program to support almost 70 nonprofits in the state and in Vermont.
Among other goals, the grants will help connect young people with mentors, help the elderly live with dignity and independence, feed the hungry and foster the arts.
Starting last year, the foundation started providing multi-year operating support to nonprofits through the Community Grants Program. Fewer total grants were awarded through the program than in recent years, but for larger amounts.
Grants ranged from $10,000 to $60,000.
