9:55 a.m.: Animal officer responded to Elwyn Road for a call about a "rabid fox with hair missing on it's tail and walking strange."

10:51 a.m.: Report taken about the theft of packages, with $1,600 worth of contents, from a Constitution Avenue lobby.

10:59 a.m.: Report taken about a rental car that was not returned on Dec. 16 as scheduled and an inability to contact the renter.

11:46 a.m.: Investigated a report about a woman violating a no-contact order by threatening her ex with demands for money and threats of having someone "beat him up."

12:19 p.m.: Arrested Haylie Crossman, 24, of 56 Gosling Road, on charges alleging she was driving an unregistered vehicle and was not in possession of a required license.

1:30 p.m.: Arrested Christopher Burke, 25, of 161 South St., on a charge alleging promoting prostitution and two counts of breach of bail conditions.

1:46 p.m.: Massachusetts license found on Airline Avenue.

 2:25 p.m.: Pest control worker reported being harassed by a neighbor of a home where he was dealing with a trapped squirrel.

3:23 p.m.: Caller reported seeing people breaking into TJs on Daniel Street. They were employees.

3:44 p.m.: Responded to an apartment where a couple was arguing while breaking up and one of them was moving out.

4:08 p.m.: Assisted with a crash on Lafayette Road and with one of the involved parties who was despondent.

4:10 p.m.: Assisted at a Lafayette Road bus kiosk where someone was passed out, then transported to the hospital.

4:20 p.m.: Responded to City Hall for a call about a domestic argument.

4:45 p.m.: Arrested Zhewei Wu, 23, of 42 Beechstone #4, for a charge of conduct after an accident.

6:22 p.m.: Assisted on Dwight Avenue with a call about a 28-year-old male who overdosed and was transported to the hospital.

12:10 a.m.: Caller reported a prowler in the area of Marjorie Street who was checking car door handles and ran off.

12:34 a.m.: Checked on someone sleeping in a car in the Greenleaf Avenue area.

1:06 a.m.: Checked on someone in the Court Street area, he was served with a pending notice barring him from all Portsmouth Housing Authority properties.
