EXETER — The 20th annual New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists (NHSPA) Member Exhibit and Sale will be held Jan. 12 to Feb. 10 at the Exeter Town Hall Gallery on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 4 p.m.
The opening reception will be held Jan. 12 from 12 to 4 p.m. Many of the photographers will be attending and available to answer questions about their work.
Fine art photographers from around the state have combined their styles and techniques to create a unique representation of old as well as new methods in the field. Black and white silver gelatin prints, conventional color prints, historically inspired hand-made contact prints, as well as “state of the art” digital images printed on archival papers are among the photographic methods traditionally exhibited.
Several gallery talks hosted by NHSPA members are currently scheduled at the gallery. Joe Mazzaglia will be presenting a talk about the resident animal “ambassadors” at the Center for Wildlife in Cape Neddick, Maine at 1 p.m. on Jan. 26. Bev Talbet will be talking about her DownEast Maine and Canadian Maritimes road trip at 1 p.m. on Feb. 2.
The NHSPA is a statewide organization of fine art photographers dedicated to the support of contemporary photography as a means of creative expression and cultural insight. NHSPA focuses on the education and artistic development of its members and the community by providing exhibitions, publications and educational outreach programs.
Please check the New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists Facebook Page for more information and the www.nhspa.org website calendar page for updates about additional gallery talks.
The gallery is handicap accessible via an elevator inside the rear door, adjacent to the upper parking lot. Admission is free.
