To the Editor:

As an "Ogunquitite," I was delighted to witness our new Gov. Janet Mills' inauguration. It gave me hope that civility and inclusiveness can exist in the politics of today.

Unfortunately my small town, in spite of its organization as a municipal government, finds itself fending off rogue complaints by those who have lost power and control as a result of a new administration and are creating conflict through technology and dissonance at every turn.

Perhaps their energy could be better spent in finding truth and learning about the table of organization in governmental professionalism and elections.

Fyodor Dostoevsky said, “When reason fails, the devil helps.”

To a happier new year.
