The New Hampshire Liquor Commission will host its 14th annual New Hampshire Wine Week from Jan. 20 to 26.

Legendary winemakers Gina Gallo, Jean-Charles Boisset and Cristina Mariani-May along with more than 60 of the world’s most renowned winemakers will be on hand to meet wine lovers in a series of exclusive tastings, wine dinners, bottle signings and seminars.

During New Hampshire Wine Week, wine lovers can try amazing wines while interacting with winemakers. Guests range from Marilisa Allegrini of Allegrini Estates in Valpolicella, Italy, Wendy Lange of the Lange Estate Winery in the Dundee Hills of Oregon, to NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas and his partner Thomas Cheurlin, who own Cheurlin Champagne from the Abue region of France, to name a few.

Featuring two of the world’s marquee wine families, NHLC will host “Cellar Notes: Wine Dynasties of the Boisset and Gallo Families” on Wednesday, Jan. 23 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Puritan Conference Center in Manchester. The highly-interactive, seminar-style event will feature a guided wine tasting by Gina Gallo, senior director of wine-making at E. & J. Gallo Winery, and Jean-Charles Boisset, proprietor for the Boisset Collection and DeLoach Vineyards. The husband and wife team, Gallo and Boisset, will offer their favorite wines, discuss their diverse wine-making styles and share personal stories.

Along with "Cellar Notes," Gallo and Boisset will host an exclusive “Meet the Makers” meet and greet opportunity during the Winter Wine Spectacular. The couple will meet privately with guests in a luxury suite in a series of 30-minute sessions during which Boisset and Gallo will offer specialty wine tastings and photo opportunities. The opportunity is open to all Winter Wine Spectacular guests. Sessions will be limited to 50 people. Reservations are first-come, first-served.

In addition to the Winter Wine Spectacular and Cellar Notes, New Hampshire Wine Week features a selection of amazing events taking place throughout the state, including: a four-course dinner with Marilisa Allegrini of Allegrini Estates at Tuscan Kitchen in Salem at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23; a family-style dinner and wine tasting with La Crema Winemaker Craig McAllister at Mombo in Portsmouth at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23; a wine pairing dinner with David Philips of Michael David Winery at the Copper Door in Bedford at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22; a wine pairing dinner with Sean Minor of Sean Minor Wines at Firefly in Manchester at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23; and more.

The week-long celebration of wine also features one of the largest wine expos in the country, NH Liquor & Wine Outlet’s 16th annual Winter Wine Spectacular,a fundraiser for Easter Seals on Thursday, Jan. 24. The three-hour Grand Tasting draws more than 1,500 guests to sample from more than 1,800 fine wines to sample along with fine food and specialty goods. An elite offering is the Bellman’s Cellar Select Room, an intimate room where higher end wines are served, along with food from first class restaurants.

There are over 7,000 wines offered at 78 NH Liquor & Wine Outlets statewide. During New Hampshire Wine Week, wine lovers can explore their palates and taste a variety of fine wine at countless events. Unique to other wine tasting events across the country, consumers have the opportunity to purchase wines during a number of New Hampshire Wine Week events, including the Winter Wine Spectacular and Cellar Notes.
