Nina El-Badry will be co-leading the Agewise Retreat at Shilo Farm with Dr. Mikhail Kogan on Friday, Dec. 28 from 1 to 6 p.m.
Dr. Kogan, board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Palliative Care, and Integrative Medicine, will share with you his AgeWise Health Paradigm, which incorporates the wisdom of Blue Zones with modern scientific understanding of aging and longevity. With the assistance of a highly experienced and knowledgeable team, attendees will explore benefits of AgeWise nutrition, fasting mimicking diets, cold exposure, spirituality and healing, as well as participate in several movement activities such as yoga, pilates, dance and Qi-Gong.
Attendees will come to realize where their challenges are to optimize health and to make changes and incorporate AgeWise principles to transform their lives. They wil leave with a resolution plan.
El-Badry earned a Master of Science degree in Biology/Microbiology from Missouri State University and has worked for the United States Department of Health and Human Services, in Washington, D.C. Originally from Moscow, Russia, Nina has background in gymnastics, Latin and swing dancing. Nina has been a part-time fitness instructor for over 12 years teaching group exercise classes such as yoga, pilates, Zumba, Zumba for seniors, Aqua Zumba and swing and Latin dances in the Seacoast area. Students in her classes range from teenagers to 90-plus year olds.
Nina has been performing with various local dance companies and recently started her own Ladies Salsa Styling team in Portsmouth. She was featured as a principle dancer in 2016 Disney's feature movie "The Finest Hours."
