The Seacoast Artisans Fine Arts and Craft Shows will present its Christmas Show from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday Dec. 7 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Dec. 8, and Sunday Dec. 9, at the former Staples building in the Home Depot plaza in North Hampton.

The organization’s philosophy for the past 19 years has been to create shows that are successful for all involved. The three pillars of the organizations are the artists, the organizers and the public and all three must be satisfied, in order to deem a show successful. If any one of the three is dissatisfied, steps are taken to remedy the issue. Organizers say this has been the secret to maintaining a successful organization and hosting successful events year after year.

Ilene Kille, owner of Arey Artistry Studio, is this year's featured artist. She creates functional glass art such as tables, lamps and dishware, some of which she will be bringing to the upcoming holiday craft fair. Additionally, she will also be bringing Christmas tree ornaments and a menorah, which are limited pieces that she has created just for for the holiday season.

“This is my first year doing the Christmas show but I’ve done shows with Joyce (Sanderson, the primary contact for Seacoast Artisans Fine Arts and Craft Shows) in the past,” Kille said.

This year’s event features “real artists who are doing it to make a living,” Kille said. “That’s what makes it so nice,” she said.

Kille said she is expecting about 5,000 people to visit the show throughout the weekend.

“I don’t really have any expectations for this since it’s my first time going,” said Kille. “But it will be a very nice show.”

Customers can be confident that whatever they purchase from the event will be unique and handmade. Purchases will also support local artists like Kille who make a living by sharing their passion for art with the world. Admission for the show is $5 at the door. Children under 14 are free.
