Nov. 7 ó To the Editor:
One of the most thrilling and humbling experiences is to be elected to public office for the first time. I want to thank the people of Portsmouth Ward 5 for their support on Election Day and for choosing me to represent them in the state legislature.
We have many very real problems in our state. Opioids, contaminated water, a rapidly aging population, and lack of affordable housing are long-term issues where progress has been made, but much more needs to be accomplished. In the next session of the legislature, we will also face the pressing challenges of lowering the risk of gun violence, making our economy work better for all of our people, and ensuring it is financially possible for more of our kids to attend public colleges in New Hampshire and be better prepared for the jobs of the future.
As I go to Concord to represent people from the city Iíve come to love, my hope is the quality of our solutions will define us rather than the depth of our divisions. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and priorities with me when I knocked on your doors.
Iím truly honored to serve you.
Portsmouth Ward 5
