Oct. 9 — To the Editor:

On Nov. 6, I urge residents of Greenland, Newington, North Hampton, and Portsmouth Ward 3 to re-elect Tamara Le as their representative in the state legislature.

As a member of the House Education committee, Rep. Le vigorously opposed SB-193—a bill that would have diverted $99 million raised via local property taxes for public education to private schools. With supporters of the failed bill—including Gov. Sununu—already planning to resuscitate it in 2019, it is essential to have her strong voice in Concord to fight what will likely be another well-funded effort that would hurt our schools, short-change our kids, and place additional burdens on already over-burdened property tax payers.

Rep. Le will also fight for issues that matter to New Hampshire’s young families, including paid family and medical leave insurance, clean water, sensible gun violence prevention legislation, protecting voting rights, and expanding the availability of public pre-kindergarten classes beyond the Head Start program.

Unlike many elected to our state legislature, her near-perfect attendance record shows she’ll work hard to keep her promises and advocate for the people she represents.

Please re-elect Rep. Tamara Le on Nov. 6.
