June 13 — To the Editor:
I'm a small business owner. I'm a member of the National Federation of Independent Businessmen. I also serve on the State NFIB Leadership Council. I serve on the Stratham Town Budget Advisory Committee and I am the Chairman of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. I am also a former Stratham Town Selectman.
I like Andy Sanborn.
I've known Andy Sanborn for about the last 8 or 9 years. I've admired his short political career here in New Hampshire. His determination and his tenacity in fighting for the conservative values he's lived by brought him both battle scars and olive branches in Senate debates and committee negotiations. He's never been a man to shy away from a floor fight to champion the rights of all NH citizens. He remains dignified in defeat and gracious in victory. He understands that when "government" gets out of the way, we all do a little better in our business and our private lives. He's a man with a mountain of common sense, which is desperately needed in Washington, and he has the grit to stick with his principles in defiance of the temptations of Washington, D.C.
Andy can stand on and proudly point to his voting record. It speaks for him more eloquently than even he does. Andy knows the real world of business and jobs. He owns several successful entrepreneurial businesses and actually writes the checks that pay the bills and the employees. He lives the same life and under the same rules his constituents do and he knows first hand that cooperation, commitment to principles and hard work is what helps move us all forward.
I heartily endorse Andy Sanborn for the 1st Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
