HAMPTON FALLS — Bring your blanket and chair along with your friends and family to enjoy unique music and entertainment throughout the summer right on the town common.

The Friends of the Hampton Falls Bandstand will once again be presenting Concerts on the Common at the Hampton Falls Veterans Memorial Bandstand.

The artists set to play this summer are a diverse group varying from a Beach Boys Night with the Reminisants and Cool Wheels to a performance by the Revolutionary Snake Ensemble, which is an improvisational brass band.

Residents of Hampton Falls can enjoy music and food every Thursday starting June 21 at 6:30 p.m. including a concert Tuesday, June 26, and Wednesday, July 4, with the last show set for Aug. 23.

There will be classic food and snacks available, as well as themed foods to coincide with the music for the evening.

“If there is a Beatles band there will be British food,” said Karen Sabatini, treasurer of the Hampton Falls Bandstand. “So each week there will be something different.”

Concerts on the Common continues to grow in popularity each year with people traveling from all over the Seacoast to see the unique bands perform on the bandstand, according to Sabatini.

Sabatini said the biggest show is always Jamaican Appreciation Day, which this year will take place on Aug. 23.

“The Jamaican Appreciation Day is a big deal for us,” said Sabatini “We read the proclamation and have Jamaican activities.”

Jamaican Appreciation Day recognizes the contributions of Jamaicans who work at Applecrest Farm in Hampton Falls. Islandside, a reggae band, will perform that night.

The Concerts on the Common costs are supported by local businesses. The Hampton Falls Bandstand is a nonprofit organization, and each business that donates to the cause is recognized during the shows.

All of the scheduled concerts will relocate to the Hampton Falls Fire Department at 3 Drinkwater Street if it rains. More information about sponsorship opportunities and the concert series can be found at www.hamptonfallsbandstand.com or on their Facebook page at Friends of the Hampton Falls Bandstand.
