Atria Kennebunk’s Community Sales Director Colleen Levesque hosted an event for local health professionals - a Paint 'n' Tini Night featuring local artist and Paint Nite Maine licensee Melinda Campbell.

Paint Nite mixes painting with cocktails and a variety of hors d’oeuvres and desserts to promote creativity and fun under the step-by-step guidance of a master artist. Culinary Director John Caron treated guests to deliciously prepared food and bartender Renee Carney provided two signature autumn drinks that brought a warm feeling to this "cool" season.

A week full of surprises!

Residents of Atria had great time during National Assisted Living Week with entertainers, slideshow presenters and even visitors from West Kennebunk’s Blixx horses. “This is a fun week to be a part of. There’s always something to do around here but this week, it’s nonstop! We love it.” said resident Velma Seitz.

Residents began the week on Grandparents Day with a lively concert and dancing by Flash and Tina Allen. They then moved into an intertidal adventure with Coast Encounters presented Carol Steingart who brought marine life into the community for a close and personal experience. Residents then traveled up Maine’s Coast with slideshow presenter Michael Perry who gave an incredible show. New Engage Life Instructor Heather Lewis presented a beautiful topic in honor of her father, well-known Delaware and Maine artist Jack Lewis. Residents also got to work with materials in Atria’s main lobby for a full art gallery experience.

The community then moved to Western Theme Day with a surprise visit from horses Fritz and Lexxi, a specialty luncheon and entertainment by cowboy guitarist Billy Joe Lake. The week finished up with an evening concert featuring the popular duo, Don Wessels and Lisa Mills’ Ocean Avenue Band - followed by a late afternoon patio concert with the Saco River Jazz Ensemble.
