SOUTH BERWICK, Maine — Janna Syrene, a veteran broker with Bean Group, recently began expanding her team, a trend that’s becoming more common in the real estate industry, according to the National Association of Realtors.
“This growing trend not only helps our members share workloads and responsibilities, but also allows Realtors to benefit from the experience of fellow professionals,” said NAR President Elizabeth Mendenhall. “The synergies of a well-functioning team are often an incentive to relinquish some of the independence of a solo practitioner and offer many attractive features for both licensees and their customers
With that in mind, Syrene and her husband and fellow Broker, John, began adding to their team last year, taking into consideration everyone’s strengths, niches, service areas and what skill sets they could offer to clients.
The growing team is comprised of the Syrenes, and within the past few months it has added five agents: Susan Gately, Joshua Jakan, Heidi Swett, Laura Holder and Anne Honkonen. An operational manager, listing coordinator and marketing assistant were also added. Together, they offer 56 years of real estate experience spanning the seacoasts of Maine and New Hampshire.
Last year, Janna achieved $34 million in residential home sales and was again ranked the No. 1 agent in listed and sold volume in York County, according to MLS non-group or office owner data.
“John and I have been visualizing TeamSyrene for years, and we’ve been incredibly thrilled to add such talented and passionate agents and support over the past few months,” Janna said. “Having a team allows us to better serve buyers and sellers, as it means there’s always an agent available for a showing, or to ask answer a question, and the marketing and customer service efforts are truly a team responsibility. It’s an incredible privilege to continue to grow our business in the area where we raised our family and have lived for the past two decades.”
